Do This, It Might Change Your Life...
The exercise that helped me decide to become a better person.
I have read the book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
Imagine one day, you are on your way to attend a funeral. As you are approaching, you see your friends, family, relatives, colleagues and neighbours.
You are waiting for your turn to deliver the Eulogy.
But as you approached the stage, you realised, it was you on the coffin.
What would you say to yourself?
What would others say about you?
Would they say you are a very good person?
PAUSE…. READ THAT AGAIN, THIS TIME, SLOWWWWLY!!!!!
This blew my mind.🤯
This is such a powerful exercise. This has helped me decide to become a better person.
I used to not care about how people think and feel. It was not my intention.
When I was younger, when I have a goal, I work hard as much as I could. And I didn’t care what happens along the way as long as I could accomplish my goal.
But as I grow older, I realised I was insensitive to others and may have hurt a lot of people along the way.
It’s no longer fun. So I decided to make some changes.
It’s not easy to change, especially when you hope to become a better person.
I feel that I am a better person now, and still a work in progress.
I tried to learn how to adapt and adjust to anyone by understanding the personality types and applying them. For me, this is a very important skill that has helped me to become a better person. And I am sharing this with you.
If I can do it, you can also do it!
What would you say about yourself?
What would others say about you?
Till next time.👍
