The Butterfly and the Cocoon
Anything worthwhile, takes time...
We all have heard of the story of the butterfly 🦋 and the cocoon.
I heard it from one of my mentors around 10 years ago.
It is a very powerful story and it has many versions.
One of the version I like is this…
There was a boy playing ball 🏀 in the garden 🌿.
He saw a butterfly struggling to get out of its cocoon.
He got impatient so he helped the struggling butterfly by opening its cocoon.
When the butterfly was free, he noticed its wings were broken😥.
Because he was very impatient, the butterfly can no longer fly for the rest of its life.
In life, when we are impatient, we tend to do things without thinking of the consequences.
When we are impatient, we could hurt ourselves, we could hurt a lot of people.
Let us not be impatient because it takes time for us to learn new things. Especially when we are working on improving ourselves.
Anything worthwhile, takes time.
